From its origins as a hamlet originally located at the top of Plough Hill, Cuffley has grown rapidly over the last 100 years to form the prosperous and vibrant village we have today.Due toCuffley’s unique location, surrounded on all sides by Green Belt land, all development has been contained within the settlement boundaries and recent development has mainly seen the demolition and replacement of smaller homes with larger five bedroom properties.

There is a good choice of local independent shops and restaurants together with two supermarkets in the village centre, the Brookfield Centre at Cheshunt with its larger range of stores is within easy reach and Enfield Town is just a few miles away.

Crews Hill which has one of the largest concentrations of garden centres and nurseries is only 2.5 miles away.

For the more sporting there are active tennis, football and rugby clubs and numerous walks around Homewood, Northaw Great Wood and local footpaths. Golfing enthusiasts are well provided for with courses at Crews Hill, Newgate Street, Enfield and Cheshunt.

Cuffley has good transport links to London from the railway station and is close to the A1 and M25.
